FAQ’s

How Often Do I Need to Visit the Dentist?

Your smile should be examined and cleaned by a professional at least two times every year. That’s why biannual checkups are highly recommended by the ADA. Of course, you might need to visit us more often if you have persistent gum disease or another condition that requires multiple treatments.

Does a Knocked-Out Tooth Always Need to Be Replaced?

If the tooth in question is a baby tooth, then obviously it doesn’t need to be replaced, although we’ll still need to check for damage. But when a permanent tooth is lost, it’s better to replace it than to leave the gap empty. Call us immediately to schedule a consultation to ask about dental implants or other methods of tooth replacement.

I Want to Improve My Smile, What are My Options?

Veneers and Lumineers can both be used to make multiple corrections (such as covering cracks, hiding stains, and closing gaps) with just one simple treatment. Direct bonding may be a good option for those that just want to give their smile a touch-up. For those who want to improve the natural color of their teeth, both in-practice and at-home whitening can be highly effective. We can help you explore these options more thoroughly during a cosmetic consultation.

When Should I Make an Emergency Dental Appointment?

Common signs of a dental emergency include significant oral pain, broken or knocked-out teeth, oral bleeding, persistent growth or sores in the mouth, a strange metal taste, a severe toothache, or a locked jaw. Call our dental office immediately to make an appointment; you don’t want to wait too long before receiving care.

Do You Place Dental Implants?

Yes! With traditional metal dental implants, Dr. Snarr can handle the process from start to finish, including the surgery to place the implant posts in the jaw. Whether you just need to replace one tooth with an implant and crown, or you’re looking to get dentures that are held firmly in place thanks to strategically placed implant posts, you can count on Dr. Snarr to handle the procedure.

Will You Accept My Dental Insurance?

Dental Insurance We take a number of plans such as Delta and Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators. You can confirm whether we take your plan by calling our dental office.
